Keeping your pet shouldn’t feel impossible in hard times. We are here to help.
All programs are limited to funding available. We do utilize waitlists as needed. All services first come first serve. Requests are processed weekly. All programs have limitations. We are limited by the resources we have on hand or lack thereof at the time of the request.
You need to have had your pet for at least one year to receive vaccines or spay/neuter. The concept is that you were able to afford your pet when you got it, then something happened causing a financial gap needing a bridge. We will not pay for vaccines or spay/neuter for the pet you just got recently. Before you bring home an animal you should ensure you can afford it at that moment.
PET FOOD
Pet food is available for owned pets. You will need to have a way to pick up the food or have someone who can pick it up for you. Once you complete the request form you will be contacted via email from peacefulcoexistencedogs@gmail.com Make sure you check your spam box. We process food requests once per week. Please ensure you are requesting before you run out. Our pet food programs are meant to help with a temporary hardship, we can not become your primary source of food.
Vaccines
Vaccines are provided for owned pets. Our vaccine program assists pet parents with one Rabies and Dapp 4-1 vaccine set. The goal of this program is to help pet parents stay compliant with the state required rabies vaccination and to prevent parvo. We do not pay for office visits, only the vaccines. Our program covers the full cost of the vaccines at Steiner SILS Affordable Vet Care. If you would like to use a different veterinarian, you will be responsible for paying any office visit fee. Peaceful Coexistence will only pay for the cost of the vaccines.
Spay- Neuter
We provide spay-neuter services for owned pets. Our spay- neuter program provides up to $150 per household. This covers the full cost of the procedure with Steiner SILS Affordable Vet Care. If you would like to use a different veterinarian you may, but you will be responsible for the difference in price. Our program is limited to $150 per household.
Dog Training
We offer free dog training. Our dog training programs are group classes. Each class lasts 6-8 weeks. Each class rotates through a new rural Northeastern Colorado community every 8 weeks during the spring and summer. We do not provide training over the winter months due to the severe temperature fluctuations. We offer emergency intervention for behavior issues that could result in rehoming, this is to prevent rehoming and help pet parents stabilize with their dogs. We do not offer ongoing private dog training. You must be willing to attend training in a group setting where the next class is taking place. You must be willing to commit to attending the full program. Class sizes are limited by dog to trainer ratios and may vary in size by location. All participating dogs must be vaccinated for Rabies, Parvo and Bordetella. All participating dogs must be spayed/neutered.
